Frankie Hays Warren
Madison - Frankie Hays Warren passed away JULY 24, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11:00am at Sebrell Funeral Home with Visitation 10-11.
Frankie was born in D'Lo, Mississippi, April 14, 1932, the child of Katie Meadows Hays and William Ellis Hays. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology at Mississippi College and her Masters at UCLA. Frankie was married to the love of her life, C.W. (Bill) Warren in 1952 for over 62 years when Bill died in 2014. Frankie had a long, respected, and distinguished career doing what she loved most: helping troubled children in her position at the Hinds County Youth Court. She lived a life of service, and was a true advocate for the children, serving in her career for 30 years.
Frankie and Bill were very involved in First Baptist Church, Jackson, where every Sunday, you would find them faithfully on the 2nd row. Frankie was very active in working with Missions; she and Bill became very close with Paul and Lydia Osenenko and their daughter, Anna, from Belarus, Russia, when they were in Jackson studying at the Reformed Seminary. They went to visit Paul, Lydia, and Anna in Minsk in 2000. Frankie and Bill loved to travel and their travels took them all over the world. Frankie loved people and she lived her life serving the Lord.
Frankie loved playing the piano, although she always said God gave her a talent to play but not a talent to sing. She loved flowers, sending letters and cards that were beautifully written, doing special, thoughtful, memory-making moments- that is who Frankie was. She loved God with all her heart and spent her life in His service. She also loved life, loved people, and strived to make her part of the world a better place. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 -- "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you."
Frankie Hays Warren went to her eternal heavenly home July 24, 2021. The reunion on that day with Bill surely was magical, but more important to her was when God said, "welcome home my child—job well done my good and faithful servant."
Frankie is survived by her extended family with whom she loved keeping in touch and her chosen daughter, Debbie Broadway.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Jackson Lottie Moon Christmas offering, P. O. Box 250, Jackson, MS 39205
