Gerry Harden
Grenada
August 1, 1930 - October 13, 2011. Faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Gerry was born and raised in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. On October 15, 1948, she married Clovis "Sonny" Harden, becoming his beloved wife for nearly 63 years.
Mrs. Harden served as the Vice President of Harden Plumbing & Heating Co. for 38 years, preceded by ten years of work at Mississippi Power and Light. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Grenada where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and Women's Ministry leader.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Rozelle and Homer McGregor, and one sister, Dot Kemp of Memphis, TN.
She is survived by her husband, Clovis "Sonny" Harden, Jr., a daughter, Cindy Dugan of Grenada, a son, Mike Harden (Angela) of Memphis, TN, and a daughter Leigh Anne Hollinger (Bruce) of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Dawn Looney (Evans) of Nashville, TN; Katie Lynn Harden of Dallas, TX; Clayton Dugan of Jackson, MS; Amanda Claire Harden, Christian Harden, Brad Hollinger and Sarah Hollinger, all of Starkville, MS; Gates Canale of Chattanooga, TN; and Hunter Canale of Memphis, TN. Gerry's great-grandchildren include Evans, Larson and Conner Looney of Nashville, TN. Two sisters, Eunice Young (Eddie) of Myrtle, MS and Dianne Campbell (Jim) of Roseburg, OR, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, also survive her.
The family is especially appreciative of the wonderful care given to Mrs. Harden by Legacy Hospice, Continue Care Home Health, Dr. Rafe Armstrong, and her compassionate caregiver, Martha Johnson, all of Grenada; Dr. Bertorini and the staff of the Wesley Clinic in Memphis, as well as Dr. Allegra Patton and her son-in-law, Dr. Bruce Hollinger, of Nashville, TN.

Visitation is Sunday, October 16, from 1-3 p.m. followed by the service at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Grenada. Burial will be at Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada.
