Jackson
Gregory Wayne Haygood, Sr. was born November 20, 1947, in Jackson, MS to the late Murray Leon Creshon and Christine Haygood Cutley.
He received his formal education in New Orleans, LA and Jackson, MS, where he graduated from Jim Hill High School in 1966. He spent many years working at Packard Electric in Clinton, MS, before retiring to devote his time and energy to his family, especially his grandchildren, and to his passion for photography and videography.
Gregory departed his life April 12, 2016. Cherishing his legacy and many fun memories are his wife, Lee Arntine; four sons, Demothenes, Terry, Gregory, Jr., and Demarise; one daughter Kyla, all of Jackson, MS; two brothers, Ronnie Haygood of Jackson, MS and Murray Creshon of Murrieta, CA; many grands, great-grands, a loving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis W. Jones, Sr. and Alice E. Jones of Jackson, MS; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life is Monday, April 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist, 1245 Tunica Street, Jackson, MS.
