Ilene Barnett Obituary
Ilene May Barnett clicked her heels three times and followed the yellow brick road home on Sunday, April 12, 2020. Ilene is survived by her husband, Barry Barnett of Flowood, her daughter, Elizabeth Landingham of Columbus, Ohio, her sisters, Melanie Wheeler (May) of Pearl and Candy Dorman (May) of Harrison, Arkansas, and her brother, Andy May of Pearl. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation, Stand Up to Cancer, or the Lewy Body Dementia Foundation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I met Ilene at BellSouth in Tucker, GA. She was wonderful, and I have lots of great memories. The last time I talked to Ilene she was moving to Mississippi to be close to Barry. I know she is definitely in a better place and free of pain, but I am so sorry for her family. I hope

I first met Ilene when she moved to Birmingham for a promotion at South Central Bell. We worked together on the 25th floor for a good while. What I remember is her smile and cheerfulness. What a nice person. I know you all miss her.

Ilene was a wonderful neighbor and friend. She was always willing to help and always up for fun. I will miss her sweet smile and cheerful wave. Prayers for family.

Miss her even though she had already moved. I will forever treasure the painting of a cow she did for me. She snd Barry were awesome neighbors
