Tomaso of Elgin formerly of Bartlett; beloved husband of Helen (nee Badurik); loving father of Bob; Laurie (fiancé Russ) and David; dear brother of Al (Sylvia); fond brother in law of Rose (the late Patrick) Mokry and Margie (Frank) Zygmunt; uncle of Michael Tomaso, Christine Tomaso, Jenny (Chris) Troupis, Jackie (fiancé Alex) Tomaso, Diane (Mike) Asztalos, Bob Zygmunt, Ken Mokry, Tony (Melanie) Mokry; many cousins, great nieces and nephews; also survived by his grand dog Rascal.
Robert proudly served in the United States Army and was an avid muscle car enthusiast.
Visitation Wednesday, April 9th 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 9:15 a.m. to St. Peter Damian Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial St. Michael the Archangel. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Diabetes Organization at www.diabetes.org would be appreciated.

We worked together at Wrigley for many years. A few of those years were as my Manager in Payroll. I remember you fondly and your love of cooking. Always a fair and wonderful man. I am sorry for your loss.
