Bolton
Mr. Jimmie Ray Lewis was born January 23, 1958 to James Jamison and Vernia Lewis in Hinds County, MS. He passed away April 10, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital. Jimmie was a long time member and one of the lead singers of The Mississippi Mass Choir, The Southern Tones and The Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home Choir. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Blacks Chapel M.B. Church with visitation Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Westhaven Funeral Home with burial in Mount Elizabeth in Bolton, MS.

To Jimmie" family. I was so saddened to hear of Jimmie's departure. But at the same time I had mixed feelings that Jimmie know you are not suffering anymore. Jimmie was God's Child. God loved Jimmy so much until He did not want Jimmy to continue being very miserable. I thank God for allowing me to sing in the Utica Jr, College "s Choir; directed by the Great Dr. Bobby Cooper. While attending Utica Jr. College I had the honour of carrying the title of Ms Utica Jr. Choir along with Jimmy being my King of the Utica Jr. Choir. We were chosen to sing with Dr. Margaret Walker Alexander's Opera entitled "Jubilee." It was just a joy to be around with Jimmie singing from far and near. We sang in festivals ect. R. I. P. Jimmie. You made it home to rest forever.

I have known Mr. Jimmy a LOOONG time. I knew him through my grandfather and father being involved in the volunteer fire department in Utica. He even taught my volunteer certification class which is where I learned all the basic stuff of the fire service. He knew the job very well and was a very good teacher, I learned so much from him and I always had the upmost respect for him. He is a great loss to us and will be greatly missed....
