As kids, Joe and I sat on a horse corral fence behind the Ice House, admired the horses and imagined being cowboys. We climbed neighbors mulberry trees and enjoyed the succulent berries. We enjoyed summer games on local lawns with neighborhood kids. So much fun! Rest In Peace, Joe.

Such an amazing doctor. He was so kind and caring and I told everyone that he did the best root canals. I always got a startled look and had to explain why I could say such positive things about a root canal. He will be missed.

Elizabeth, Mary Helen, Guy - our deep prayers for you. This is a shocker - just a month ago spending three days with him at Hemlock. He loved his family, talked about how he did NOT spoil his grandkids and how much he loved God. My favorite of all twenty plus years was the early morning prayers on the Hemlock porch. He truly loved to pray. May God be with you in the tough days ahead.

Sincere condolences from Ralph & Paula Middlebrook. Joe & Ralph were boyhood friends in Ethel, playing in the dirt street, climbing mulberry trees and having fun. Having not been in contact for decades Ralph called Joe in August, 2017 and caught up some. Plans were made to get together when we could. Alas, that will not happen but we had a few enjoyable minutes talking about old times. Rest In Peace, my friend.
