Jose Paz Obituary

Jose A. Paz, Sr.

Jackson

Jose Paz, 72, passed away at home on Sunday afternoon in the company of his loving family. He was a warm, caring and humble man who never met a stranger, and was generous to a fault. He loved to dance, fish and spend time with family and friends. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Myriam; 2 children, Elise (James) Ward of North Carolina, Jose' A. Paz, Jr. (Kimberly) of Byram, MS; 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Josh) Dominico, Rebecca Ward, Allea Paz; his mother, Bertha Paz of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Victor and Ronnie Paz.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at Galloway United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00.

I have many fond memories of our times together when Jose was working on a Lockheed contract in Marietta, Georgia. We two hit it off together from the get go! Also, the all-too-few times we got together after that contract was complete.

You and your dear wife Myriam raised a fine family, and you both were justly proud of their accomplishments. You were a true family man and a good father, so I know that Myriam misses you dearly.

And so do I.

Jose was my boss over 40 years ago. I was shocked today when I saw his obituary. He was always very kind to me & I have never forgotten him. I remember even that far back how much he loved his family. I am so very sorry for your loss.
