Joyce went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2014. She was 64 years old. Visitation is 5pm -7pm Tuesday, March 4, 2014 and again at 1pm Wednesday at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2pm Wednesday at Lakewood chapel with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Joyce was blessed with a loving husband for 29 years, Gary Clark Anderson of Brandon, two beautiful daughters, Tammy Rideout Hawkins, Shelly Rideout Hardin. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Tamara Joyce Shows, Jonathan Roberts Shows, Adam Shows, Dalton Clark Poynor, Shelby Lynn Slay, William Holt Hardin and David Wiley Hardin, three great grandchildren, Taylor Mason Bass, Cameron Reed Shows, and Brooklyn Marie Shows, two brothers, Thomas Wayne King, and William Doyle King, two sister in laws. Wondra King, and Donna King, sister, Nell Ingram, several nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and a loving stepmother, Mrs. Elvie King Hudson.

Joyce enjoyed being with her family and doing things for them.

She owned Joyce's Bric-a-Brac for 30 years. She loved her business and the many customers who became her friends. She enjoyed buying for her business, going on vacations with her husband, but most of all she enjoyed her church family. She loved them all in a special way. They were always loving and supportive. Joyce belonged to a Ladies Bible study class and she looked forward to their time of study and fellowship.

Joyce's prayer was she could live long enough to care for her mother, Mrs. Myrtle King Bowen, which God allowed her to do. Mrs. Bowen passed form this world on March 10, 2009.

Joyce lived in Jackson until May 1984, then moved to Brandon where she resided and owned her business.
