I went to church at Parkway Heights United Methodist church with Lew. He was the sweetest, most humble man that always made me feel good to be around him. My Dad knew him growing up in Laurel, so we had that connection. I'm greatly saddened to hear of his passing. He is in the LIGHT now wrapped in a holy presence. God bless him and your family. To Bill Wallace and family:
I was so very sorry to hear of Lew's passing. Lew and I were colleagues when we worked for Crawford and Company, and I was blessed with his friendship, guidance, and leadership when I arrived in Laurel as a fledgling and anxious claims adjuster in 1963. Adjusting insurance claims is an occupation that in some situations generates volatile relationships when people do not have their unrealistic demands satisfied. As a young man, just out of college, trying to adapt to a challenging job, I was reassured, encouraged, and consoled by Lew, when I didn't feel I would succeed. Lew was a positive influence on my life and many others. He will be missed. May God bless and keep you as you deal with your loss and may may you find comfort in your memories.

Dr. John and Doc. Bill,

My sincere sympathies to you on the loss of your brother. My family always thought so much of the elder Wallaces, Sr. and Jr., who contributed so much to Laurel. You honor their memory as you continue in their footsteps. God bless you during this sad time.

To the Wallace Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Lew at Wallace Drugs for many years. I was sadden to hear that he had passed away and my prayers go out to his family. There was one particular memory that popped in my mind when I thought back about working with Lew over the years and that was him in is white crisp clean pharmcy coat, khaki pants, tie with golf club and golf balls in hand. He proceeds out to the side of the store on the grass and began hitting golf balls over into the field across the street. He was having a good time and I kept thinking "I hope he don't hit a car" But he was having a good time! I love you Lew and will miss you.
