Louise Cone Obituary
Jackson
Louise Dixon Cone, born December 8, 1940, in Waycross, Georgia, died peacefully on September 15, 2014, after an extended illness. She married the late Rev. Benjamin Cone, Jr., of the Mississippi Mass Choir in 1959. Although, not as well known as her late husband, Mother Cone achieved greatness in her sacrificial and tireless service to her community and church. She epitomized Matthew 20:26: "Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant." She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Benjamin "Benji" Cone, III and Audrey Cone-Thompson; and one grandson, Christian Cone.
Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Cone is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at New Heights SDA Church (3220 Forest Ave. Extension, Jackson, MS 39213). Visitation is on Friday from 1-7 p.m. (family present 6-7 p.m.) at Lakeover Funeral Home, 1525 Beasley Rd., Jackson, MS.

Amazing how one, soft spoken woman can influence and touch SO many, with small words of wisdom and blessed and caring hands.Because of that, I will FOREVER cherish memories of her and little lessons she shared along the way.And you do the same-use those memories of her to get you through, and most of all, use each other; but I know they been teaching ya'll how to do that over the years anyway.
