Joann and Jane,
Aunt Cill was very precious to me!
Back 44 years ago when I first joined the family she and Uncle Burnell were always very nice to me even though I was a black sheep to some because I was a very Arrogant Airborn Soldier and had taken one of the Mississippi girls away. I Loved her from the first day I met her and still Do! Rita and I will miss her terribly and our hearts go out with Love to the both of you.

Joann and Jane,
My mother, Cherry Ainsworth, loved Ms. Batten and valued her friendship. In every phone call, my mother spoke of Ms. Batten and her sweet disposition and kind spirit. She enjoyed football season with your mother when they would exchange comments about all the games and the players. Your mother will be greatly missed in many way. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Joni Shaw.
