Marcella Burton Obituary
Visitation was held 5:30-7pm Tuesday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and will resume at 12pm-1pm today. Funeral services will be held 1pm today from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Eureka Cemetery on Midway Rd. The Very Rev. Tom Slawson will be officiating the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burton was born in Ludlow MS and grew up in Sandhill. She was a native of Hinds County for the past 65 years. She enjoyed traveling, painting, dancing and loved to make ceramics. Besides her personal friendships, Marcella loved to be in the serenity of nature and her flowerbeds were proof of that. Her love of gardening will be her seed once sown that will never die. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

I have known Marcella for about 40 years through a very dear friend of mine, Irene Kite. they were so very close and did keep in touch with regular phone calls. Irene and I will miss her conversations and the times shared. May God bless the family and remember that she had dear friends that shall miss her so very much. Irene is 87 years old and confined to a wheelchair, she so wants to be at the service if she is able to attend. Hope you will understand if she is not there in person, but know that she is with you in her heart and prayers. God bless, Arlene Shelby

sandra and family, i have cherished my marcella for 17 years as my neighbor, friend, and confidant--our many good times will live in my heart forever! i miss her more than you can comprehend!
