Marshall Shows Obituary
Brandon, MS
Marshall Truett ("Jack") Shows, Sr., 84, passed away in his sleep at his home on Friday, March10, 2017. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. A family-only interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
Marshall was a fireman with the Jackson Fire Dept. for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. He was primarily stationed at Jackson's Central Fire Station and Station #2. Following this retirement, he ran a successful business as a general contractor, winning many loyal customers and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Denver Shows and Janie V. Abernathy, as well as his beloved first wife, Flodine Williamson Shows and his wife of 58 years, Hazel Haggard Shows.
He is survived by his four children, Sheila Marler (Terry) of Jackson, MS, Tabitha Shows of Brandon, MS, Allison Kress (Steve) of LaVerne, CA, and Marshall T. Shows, Jr. (Stacy) of Brandon, MS, as well as nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lucille Hutchinson of Brandon, MS.
