I had the pleasure of meeting Marty through Walgreens, Marty would come in once a week atleast and show me and a few other co-workers of mine her beautiful paintings. Marty painted my daughter, it was an amazingly beautiful piece.

Jeannie and Dave, while Marty and Tony lived in Jackson, MS Bob and I became good friends with them. We became even closer friends with Marty after Tony's death. I kept in touch with her when she moved to Wichita and later to Pueblo. Regretfully, I had not talked to her recently. We loved your mom and are saddened by her death. No doubt she's walking the streets of gold in heaven and painting the beautiful scenery there.

Marty was a dear friend of mine and a wonderful artist. She loved to paint and got up every day looking forward to doing exactly that. She was my teacher and mentor for over 7 years and became a very close friend. I miss her every day, but know she is with the Lord in heaven and having a grand time. When I paint or envision my next painting, I'll be thinking of Marty and all she taught me. I was able to visit with her the day before she passed. The first thing she wanted to know was what I was painting and what would be my next subject to paint. She will always be in my heart and I'll find comfort in remembering all we did together. Love you Marty, my dear friend. (Kid)

In the last year, I had the pleasure of meeting Marty through the Pueblo Art Guild. I was immediately attracted to her, not only because of her beautiful artwork, but her sweet nature and gentleness. She is going to be missed by me and many, many others.
