Mary Ella Hopkins Barnett, 87 of Mize, MS, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, May 2, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Colonial Chapel in Magee. Burial will be in Mize City Cemetery Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at the Funeral Home.

Mary Ella was a loving daughter, sister, wife, cousin, aunt, friend, a devoted mother and a doting Granny.

Survivors Include: Children, Mary Suzanne and Phil Tyler, Littleton, CO,Step-Son, Ernest Grady Brooks, FT Worth, TX, Brothers, Harold H Hopkins, Pacific Grove, CA, Durward Hopkins, Mize, MS, Sisters, Kathleen Skenandore, Jackson, MS, Jeanette Hopkins Smith, Mize, MS, Grandchildren: Marguerite, Colette, James, Tim, Shane, Scott, Johnny, Tyler, Ashley Marie, Bandi, Cabel.

Preceded in death by Parents, Chester & Pearl Butler Hopkins, Husband, Robert J Barnett, a Son, Danny Gerard Darden, Step-Daughter, Gloria Louise Walters, Sisters, Dale Schexnayder and Dolly Dimple Hopkins, and Brother, James O Hopkins Pallbearers will be Johnny Tyler, Tyler Morris, Christopher Peusch, Michael Peusch, Jeremy Schexnayder, Bernie Skenandore and Hiram Lee Beard.

Sorry I never got to say goodbye Grandma! It was really nice to talk with you 2 years ago and catch up. Miss you and love you! Wish I could give you a hug. Rest in Peace say hello to Dad for me.
