Morton
Mike Martin, 53, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence. Visitation was Friday, September 20, 2013 from 5:30 until 7:00 pm and will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the chapel with burial following in the Springfield Baptist Cemetery. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS and he was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Sons of The Confederacy, he loved Civil War artifacts and history, loved restoring old cars and was an avid outdoorsmen who loved turkey and deer hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Martin. He is survived by his mother, Laverne Martin of Morton, MS; one daughter, Christina Martin of Morton, MS; one son, Kevin Martin and wife Aeriel of Morton, MS; one brother, Lee Martin and wife Rusti of Morton, MS; wife of 34 years, Sandra Martin of Morton, MS; one grandchild, Rachel Smith; and beloved companion, his dog, Molly.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund of Morton, P.O. Box 110, Morton, MS 39117.
