Madison
Preston Christopher Lind, 23, of Madison, Mississippi passed away Thursday, May 5th at his home in Madison County. Visitation is Monday, May 9th from 1-3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi with services to follow at 3 p.m.
Preston Christopher Lind was born on February 20, 1993 in Jackson, Mississippi to Jennifer Neyland Lind and James "Marty" Lind. Preston graduated from High School in 2011. He continued his education in California, where he attended The Dent King Training Institute. He later went on to work with his father at Autohouse.
Preston enjoyed spending time with friends and family, weight training with his cousin Taylor Thigpen, and anything that involved the outdoors, such as jeeping, boating, and motorcross. In his youth he had many accomplishments as a competitive motorcross racer and even became the National Super Mini Champion in 2007.
Preston is survived by his loving parents, Marty Lind of Jackson, Mississippi and Jennifer Lind of Madison, Mississippi, by his maternal grandparents, Munson and Diane Neyland, of Madison, Mississippi, his maternal great-grandmother, Frances Hederi of Jackson, Mississippi, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preston was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roger and Mary George Lind, and his brothers, Charles Tyler Lind and Conner Franklin Lind.

Preston was always happy. He could bring a smile to anyone at anytime. He was a light in a dark world. I am so heartbroken that he is gone. But so grateful that I had a chance to get to know him and be apart of his life for a short time. His parents should be very proud of the man he had become. I am so very sorry from the bottom of my heart. I pray that God gives all family and friends peace, in knowing he is with our Lord in a much better place.

My heart goes out to Preston's family as I wrap you all in prayer during this time of loss. I have fond memories of Preston hanging out with my son, Chris, Wesley and Becca at our home in Sandlewood. He was a fine young man who was always polite, respectable and had a larger than life sense of humor. May the peace of Christ comfort today and many days to come as you adjust to this great loss in your life. We will all miss him.

I am a member at Coyote Crossfit where i first met Preston. I first got to know Preston during a workout during the crossfit games. He was my judge and he pushed and encouraged me to keep pushing through. From that day on we encouraged each other and discussed the challenges of crossfit.
He always had a smile on his face and was very easy to talk to.
I am very sorry for your loss!
