He was a fine man and an outstanding coach. He cared for his players, and we were fortunate to have had the opportunity to have a son play for him. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about this tragedy. Randy will be dearly missed. My nephew, Parker Nelson, had Randy as his baseball coach growing up, and he instilled in him so many life lessons along with teaching the game of baseball. Randy was a coach, a hero, and like a 2nd dad to Parker. The skills and lessons that that he taught him will be used by Parker for the rest of his life. Thank you Randy, for giving so much to so many kids. We love you and miss you.
