Ricky Nelson Obituary
Visitation is 5-8pm today at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services are 10am Tuesday with burial following at Florence Cemetery.
Ricky spent most of his life in the Jackson area, moving to the Florence area 23 years ago. He was employed by Buford Plumbing and was avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
Most importantly, he was a devoted father.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Nelson
He is survived by his son, Cody Nelson; daughter, Ashley Nelson; mother, Shirley Nelson; father, Wayne Nelson; Grandparents, Merle & Carolyn Nelson and Barney & Mary Auttonberry; brothers, Andy Nelson and Waylon Nelson; sisters, Cindy Argo, Christy Humble, and Kayla Nelson; and a number of nieces and nephews

HAVING LOST MY SON AT A YOUNG AGE TOO BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY I KNOW HOW YOU ARE FEELING AT THIS TIME. THERE ARE NO WORDS ANYONE CAN SAY THAT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER. JUST KNOW MY HEART IS WITH YOU ALL WAYNE. I SHARE IN YOUR GRIEF AND THE PAIN IN YOUR HEART. RICKY WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND WILL BE MISSED BY MANY.

i worked with ricky and became pretty good friends .and it saddens me that his son and daughter have to go through life with outhim.he was a great guy and would go out of his way to help you if he could. may god bless his soul and his children

Ricky was a good kid. I grew up with him but did not know him very well as a man. My families thoughts are with his children and all of the Nelson family today.
