Robert Goza Obituary
After graduating from Canton High School, he attended Mississippi State University and received his law degree from the University of Mississippi. During the Korean War, he served as a member of the U. S. Army Rangers. He was Canton City Attorney for twenty years and Madison County Prosecutor for eleven years. He served as Circuit Court Judge for Madison and Rankin Counties for fifteen years before retiring in 1999 and joining the law firm of Copeland, Cook, Taylor and Bush.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Dennis Goza of Canton, MS; children, Kathryn Irving of Canton, MS, Diane Goza of Dallas, TX and Samuel S. Goza and wife, Michelle of Canton, MS; grandsons, Jay Irving and wife, Kathy of Madison, MS, Holt Irving of Canton, MS, Zach Walters of Dallas, TX, Cole Goza of Canton, MS and Drew Goza of Canton, MS; and sister, Sue Goza of Hobart, IN.
Visitation will be tonight from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and after 12 noon Tuesday at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Canton, MS.

I only heard of Bobby's passing today and i must say i was not expecting it. I have known ya'll almost my entire life, and was at one time very close to all of you. I am very sorry for your loss. Dear Beverly,
Judge Goza was one of the kindest and most decent man I ever met. Aside from his wonderful positive spirit and many accomplishments and hard work in the legal public sector, he was a man of consumate human compassion and good humor. My fondest memories of him include our many talks about our shared fulfillment in rescuing dogs. The world will not be quite so good without Judge Goza here to reason and sort things out.
