Dannie and Will, Sweet Buddie always took care of me. In college with car trouble Buddie and Daddy drove to Alabama in the late night to rescue me! When I grew up and moved to Texas I never found a "Buddie" to take his place. He was one of a kind. He and Will were dear friends to all of my famiy. There will be many stars in his crown. Dear Dannie,

It is with sadness, yet relief, that I read about your father's passing. Sadness in that you and all of his loved ones will deeply miss him. Relief, in that his pain is over and he is with his Heavenly Father. Mary and I will continue to pray for you and your family. You have your memories of him that you can treasure for the rest of your life. Rest assured that your father is at peace. May God be with you and bless you, and may your spiritual strength comfort you.

I remember the good old days and
times when we visited one place or
another, always eating, listening to
the old tales and Buddy's jokes.
The first place we took Todd the
day we picked him up from the
adoption agency was to their house.
Good memories.

Dear Danny,

I remember your wonderful, good looking dad as a kid. (5-year old) I was not able to reach the counter at the donut shop. My dad would take me in there so they could visit almost every morning while my mom would open the yarn shop across the street. (maxine) I can smell the coffee now and the warm glaze on the donuts. Then I began to drive and my gasoline was pumped by Robert. Don't know if you remember him. Your Dad was the best. Dave was 97 and passed in 97. I went to the Gulf on woodrow wilson and got a hug from your dad. Can you believe he knew who i was. I was sorry to hear about Ronnie. I love your family.
