Roger Tucker Obituary
Florence
Roger D. Tucker, 63, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial following in the Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland is in charge of arrangements.
Roger was born and raised in the Clear Branch Community. A retired truck driver, he enjoyed fishing and gardening and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.
He will be remembered most as a loving father, a beloved grandfather, and brother, and friend.
Survivors include: daughter, Ramona Lockett and her husband, Dan of Hattiesburg; daughter, Nona Harrison and her husband, Kevin of Union; son, Coatney Tucker and his wife, Kim of Flora, MS; five grandchildren; brother, Truman Tucker and his wife, Shelby of Little Rock, MS; brother, Richard Tucker of Florence; sister, Barbara Ann Blaylock and her husband, J.C. of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger is also survived by his friend and caregiver, Louise Hardin of Florence.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice Ministries for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Tucker and his family during this time.
