Ronnie May Obituary

Ronnie Hubcap May

Brandon, MS

RONALD JOE MAY, SR. was a confident adventurer and storyteller who departed this life on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the age of 61. "Hubcap" was known and loved by many. He felt most alive on the back of his Harley Davidson with his friends and fellow bikers. He had a passion for the open road, old cars, blue jeans and a reminiscing about days gone by. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and good friend. He loved to laugh. He caught many fish. His smile was contagious. The legendary BANDIDO HUBCAP 1%er, he also gave 34 years of his life to the BANDIDO NATION.

Hubcap was born February 5, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Claude E. May and Louise May. His wife, Kim Watson May, survives him. He left 8 children, Ronald "Joey" May Jr. of Laurel, Angela Bolivar of Laurel, MS, Cassie May Mangum of Brandon, Cheyenne Harris of Brandon, Samantha May, Courtnee Summerlin of Florence and Logan & Nash Harrington of Brandon. He took incredible pride in his 8 grandchildren, Mylee, Devin, Rylan, Bailey, Braxton, Connor, Eden & Eliza; 2 great-grandchildren, Bella & Greyson and three 3 nieces, Nikki, Melanie & Mandi. He leaves behind his sister, Janet Burkett and husband, Buddy of Brandon, MS.

He was reunited in heaven with his brothers, Mark and Harold May. He is also riding horses and walking through God's gardens with his sister Ruby Johnson. He was an influencer who loved the outlaw side of Jesus.

Hubcap was a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret and served his country in two tours in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was multitalented and loved to get dirty, a real man.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral home in Brandon, MS from 5 to9pm Friday, October 18, 2013 and Saturday starting at 10:30 until 1:30pm.
