Ruby Delcomyn Obituary
Forest - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Doris Delcomyn will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 from the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am - 11:45 am at the church prior to the funeral service.
Ruby Doris Delcomyn was born on Independence Day, July 4, 1925 in Forest. She passed away on New Year's Day, January 1, 2018 at the MS Care Center in Morton at the age of 92.
She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lackey Hospital Auxiliary, Forest Garden Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary, the Ringgold Homemaker's Club and the Young at Heart at Forest Baptist Church. She was an avid flower gardener.
She is preceded in death by her husband: J.C. Decolmyn, Jr., one granddaughter: Shanna Hodges Vaughn; and her parents: Irven Eugene McCoy, Sr., and Mary Lona Saxon McCoy; her siblings: Genie McCoy, Lamar McCoy, Ray McCoy, and Ruth Morrison.
Survivors include her son: Gene (Bettie) Delcomyn of Brandon; one grandson: Chad Hodges of Jackson; and one sister: Ramona Crane of Pensacola, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Chad Hodges, Bill Crane, Michael McCoy, Chris Bagley, Johnny Weatherford, and Jason Weatherford.
Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 2824 Old Hwy. 80, Forest, MS 39074.
The Delcomyn family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at MS Care Center in Morton for their professional service, care and compassion shown to them and their loved one.

I am unable to attend the services. My love to Gene, Bettie, Chad, Ramona and extended family. Doris was a sweet, kind, funny, loving lady. I have precious memories of my visits at her home! We can be sure there is a wonderful celebration in Heaven today welcoming Doris home! Johnnie Rae McHan
