Ruby McManus Obituary
Mrs. McManus was a native of Shivers, MS, and was longtime coast resident. During World War II, she proudly served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, was later employed by MS Power Company as a cashier until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow McManus; parents, Lem and Susie Sullivan; brothers, W.T., Pat, Charlie, Pert, George, and Dale Sullivan.
Survivors include: her son, Kevin McManus and his wife, Maureen, of Gulfport; siblings, Johnny Sullivan, Bill Sullivan, Jerry Sullivan, Ollie Mae Westmoreland, Peggy Sullivan, and Lois Stegenga; one grandchild, Heather Adams and her husband, Chuck; and by one great-grandchild, Kevin Adams.
Special thanks to Tilley Ashworth for her caregiver role.
Funeral services will be on today at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church, 346 Quitman Lane, Brookhaven, MS where friends may call after 10 a.m. until the service at 12 noon in the church. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Copiah County.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is in charge and a guest book may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com.

MY GRANDMOTHER, WAS MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE WAS ALSO LIKE A MOTHER TO ME. I COULD CALL HER UP AT 11:00 P.M. AND SHE WOULD TALK TO ME ABOUT MY PROBLEMS. I MISS HER LIKE CRAZY BUT I KNOW SHE IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE NOW AND SHE IS WITH HER HUSBAND, HER MOTHER, AND HER FATHER, AND HER BROTHERS. GOD BLESS, WE LOVE YOU GRANDMOTHER,
