Ernest Russell "Rusty" Turner was born October 7, 1967, in Greenville, Washington County, Mississippi and graduated Washington High School, Greenville, Mississippi, 1986, cum laude. He also graduated from the University of Mississippi, B. A., 1990, cum laude, as well as, graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law, 1994, cum laude. His accomplishments included Phi Kappa Phi, recipient of the Edward J. Bogen Memorial Scholarship and a recipient E. Kerby Bowling Award in Labor Law. He was associated with Bryan, Nelson PLLC, Associate, Pascagoula, Mississippi, June, 1994- Aug., 199, Phelps Dunbar, LLP, Associate, Jackson, Mississippi, Sept., 1995 - May, 2002 and Balch & Bingham LLP, Jackson, Mississippi, Partner, June, 2002 - present. Rusty was an avid supporter of Ole Miss Athletics and an active parent in the St. Andrew's Episcopal School Community. Some of his accomplishments include: Chairman of Mississippi Bar Labor & Employment Section, 2004-2005, Governmental Affairs Director for the Mississippi Society for Human Resource Management ("SHRM"), 2012-present, Chief lobbyist for 1,300 members of Mississippi SHRM on all labor and employment legislation initiatives to state/federal level lawmakers, Co-Author, "Enforcement of Arbitration Agreements in Mississippi," Mississippi Lawyer Magazine, Summer 2009 Edition, Author, "Employers' Use of Mandatory Arbitration Programs in Mississippi," HR Professionals Magazine, December 2012 Edition, Presenter at Mississippi Bar Annual Convention (Labor & Employment Section) for 2003, 2005 and 2009, Presenter at numerous seminars for both Lorman Education Services, National Business Institute ("NBI") and Mississippi SHRM on numerous labor and employment related topics and Presenter at Balch & Bingham's Annual Labor & Employment Seminar in Birmingham, Alabama and Biloxi, Mississippi on all aspects of employment litigation and employee relations.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Kimberly P. Turner; his son, Nolan Reed Turner; his father, Gerald Turner and his wife, Bonnie; his mother, Brenda Pugh Doss; his parents-in-law, Jim and Cheryl Pine; his maternal aunt and her husband, Iris and Bobby Monty; his paternal uncle and his wife, Dale and Elaine Turner; his paternal uncle, Clint Turner; his paternal uncle and his wife, Charles and Gayle Turner; his paternal aunt and her husband, Sharon and Leon Taylor; and his paternal aunt and her husband, Barbara and John Ostermiller.

Visitation will be Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home from 5pm until 7pm and again one hour prior to the 11:00am funeral service Thursday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral. Interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Armin J. Moeller, Jr., R. Pepper Crutcher, Jr., David M. Thomas, II, George Dickson Griswold, John Flynt, Guy Bryan Dewees, IV and Thomas Edward Workman

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor and remembrance of Rusty to Families as Allies (www.faams.org) or Stewpot Community Services.
