Sandra Wade Obituary

Sandra Lee Wade, 63, died September 22, 2009, at Central MS Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer.
She was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a long time resident of Newport News, Virginia before moving to Brandon in 1993.
She had been employed all her adult life not because she had to be but because she simply enjoyed people and the challenges of balancing a home life with her working life. "Miss Sandy" was employed by The Home Depot in Brandon.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and simply enjoyed life and people. She loved all animals especially horses and her three dogs. She had served as the Treasurer for the Mississippi Street Rod Association and most recently had started to volunteer for Rideability (a therapeutic horse riding center).
She was preceded in death by her son, Brian L. Wade and her father, Claude L. Pitcher.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donald L. Wade at home; her mother, June Pitcher of Newport News, Virginia; her sister, Judy Gayle of Seaford, Virginia; and her brother, Michael Pitcher (Andie) of Cocoa, Florida. She is also survived by her son, William R. Wade (Cindy) of Nauvoo, Alabama and grandchildren, Monica and Johnny Wade of Florence, Mississippi, Adam and Justin Wade of Nauvoo, Alabama and Cory Butler of Nauvoo, Alabama.
There will be a Prayer Service in her honor on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at St. Jude Catholic Church (Father Gerard Hurley-Pastor) at 10 am.
It is requested that in lieu of flowers that any expressions of sympathy be made to the Christian Motorcyclist Association ( PO Box 9, Hatfield, Arkansas 71945 (in the Memory of Sandra L. Wade, "Run for the Son") or the Rideability Therapeutic Riding Center, PO Box 5061, Brandon, MS 39047 in her memory.
