Sara Simmons Womack

Sara Simmons Womack, age 72, passed away November 3, 2013 at South Sunflower County Hospital.

She was born in Kosciusko on November 5, 1940. She received her Master's degree in education, and taught school for many years in the Indianola Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Youngblood Duncan and step-father, Bud Duncan; and one son, Scott Campbell. She is survived by one son, John Campbell (Terry) of Lakeland, FL, and one step-son Bill Womack, Jr. of Indianola; one daughter, Cindy Womack of Indianola; and three step-daughters, Betty Jo Womack of Jasper, AL, Beverly Bennett (Stan) of Inverness, and Juanita Hancock of Indianola. The family will receive friends Friday, November 8, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. An online guestbook may be signed at www.burtonfuneralhome.net
