Susan Jordan Ross, 67, joined her Saviour on Monday, October 14, 2013. She passed away at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Services will be at 10am on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. Visitation will be 4pm until 8pm Tuesday at Crossgates Baptist Church and starting at 9am on Wednesday prior to the service.

Susan was born October 14, 1946 to Horace B. Jordan and Mary Louise Barthel Jordan. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, traveling and mission work at the church. Mrs. Ross enjoyed teaching and counseling students and she was known for her very serving heart.

Survivors include her husband, D.B. "Buck" Ross; sons Scott Ross of Brandon, MS and Brian Ross and wife Kelly of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Colton Ross and Conner Ross; brothers, Robert Jordan(Carol) and Billy Jordan and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church, Missions Ministry, 8 Crosswoods Road, Brandon, MS 39042.

What a joy and a blessing to have had Susan in our families lives for the last 25 years. She taught our youngest Chris at Alta Woods Kindergarten and then was with both our son's at Byram & Terry. She had a glow about her from the inside out that made everyone she was around feel special. Our prayers for peace and comfort for her family will continue, but we know where she is and that one day we will all meet again.

Our hearts are broken about Susan's passing. She was one of the most beautiful people both inside and out that we have ever known. Susan was loved by everyone who had the pleasures of knowing her. We loved her, as well, as our sons who she counseled at Terry High School. We shall hold dear the many memories we have in our hearts of Susan.
We are sure Brad was happy to see this sweet lady as she entered the Heavenly Gates.

Mrs Ross your were the greatest counter a high school student could have u did your best to get us in the classes we need to get to get us prepared for college and I thank u for that.
