Virginia Jones Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia C. Jones, 65, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009, from the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. The Reverend Buddy Day will officiate.
Mrs. Jones, a faithful wife, devoted Christian and loving mother, passed through the door of this life at the Forrest County Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Saturday, March 28, 2009.
She was born October 6, 1944 in Columbia, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Shelby and Doris Hawkins Cook of Baytown, Texas. She was a homemaker and an active member of Tylertown Baptist Church. She earned a B.S. degree in Home Economics from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas and was a former employee of Mississippi State Extension Services.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Louise Cook; and one brother, Mike Cook.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Robert Jones of Tylertown; two sons, Brad and wife, Marcie Jones of Madison, Mississippi and Timothy Jones of Tylertown; three brothers, Gerald Cook of Jacksonville, Texas, Randy Cook of Houston, Texas and Charles Cook of Jacksonville, Texas; and two sisters, Mary Reimer of Jacksonville, Texas and Cathy Seal of Baytown, Texas.
Pallbearers will be: drew Steinwinder, Jimmy Hobgood, Alex Nettles, Jeremy Holmes, Jim Johnson, and Nathan Graves.
Burial will be in the Tylertown Cemetery. Visitation will be held tonight from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Tylertown Baptist Church, 409 Tyler Avenue, Tylertown, Mississippi 39667.
