William Cliff Heaton, Jr.

Clarksdale

Son, brother, uncle, friend, loved one, farmer. William Cliff Heaton, Jr., 29, of Clarksdale, MS, who was all these things and many more, passed from his life too early on April 29, 2017 to be with his Lord forever.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Cliff Heaton of Clarksdale, sisters Cadey Heaton True (Ford) of Clarksdale, Ann Granville Heaton of Nashville, TN, and Lucy Heaton of Clarksdale, his maternal grandparents, Kelley and Dr. John Buchignani, Jr. of Memphis, and paternal grandparents, William (Bill) Sutcliffe Heaton, Jr., and the late Elsie Wilsford Heaton, nephew Winford True, and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cliff graduated "Most Popular" from Lee Academy in 2006, where he was an avid golf player, then he attended the University of Mississippi at Oxford where he pledged Phi Delta Theta. Cliff enjoyed the days on the farm with his father and his dogs. As the years went by, his interest in farming grew and he proceeded to get involved with the cattle industry. He was beyond loved by his family and friends. Cliff is remembered by his contagious smile and laughter and his heart of gold.

A celebration of his life will be held Monday, May 1st at 11:00 at the St. George's Episcopal Church, followed by a burial at the Heaton Family Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Heatons' home after all services at 212 Westover Dr. from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests an memorials be sent to Fairland Center, 3000 US 49, Dublin, MS 38739; Lyon United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 177, Lyon, MS 38645 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38103.

Please know that all of you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I know that with God's help and the love of family and friends you will be able to cope with the loss of your precious son.
