A Celebration of Life service for Donald Wayne Atkins, 73, of Clarksville, TN will be Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Second Mile Baptist Church with Pastor Cal Hampton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and again on Saturday at the church from 10:30AM until the time of service.
Donald, known to most as Don, was born on February 18, 1952 in Woodlawn, TN to James "Kelly" and Merle Atkins who preceded him in death. He was a founding member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Woodlawn and for the last 5 years an active member of Second Mile Baptist Church. Along with his devotion to his faith, Don loved and cherished his family. He was a construction superintendent for over 15 years and enjoyed reading and fishing in his spare time.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly Atkins; children, Brian (Lori) Atkins and Lacey (William McSeed) Deardorff; grandchildren: Hayden Atkins, Addison Deardorff, Bryson Deardorff, Elizabeth Deardorff, and Brayden Deardorff; brother, Mike (Sue) Atkins; special family friend, Gelean Shelby, and brother-in-law, Carlon (Julie) Gray.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Ministry at Second Mile Baptist Church.

Beverly, I don´t know that I ever met your sweet husband. I do know your loss, however. If you ever need someone to talk to, please call. I´m sure Tracy and I would love to spend some time together when you are ready.
