A Celebration of Life service for James Louis Broome, Jr., 77, of Clarksville, TN will be Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10:30 AM until the hour of service.

James was born on June 23, 1948 to James "Louis", Sr., and Beulah Broome in Highland Park, MI. James served in the United States Marine Corps. After a long day of mowing the yard and fixing up cars, James enjoyed a nice Kentucky Deluxe and Coke.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Louis Broome III, and siblings, Mildred, Larry, and Helen. James is survived by his loving wife of his 36 years, Debbie Broome, children Victor (Jennifer Hollis) Broome, Kimberly (Marshall) Morrison, Candi (Doug) Olson, Jaime Varriale, Lisa (James) Harris, and Sabraina Merced, 17 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, siblings, Clifford (Teresa) Broome, Kathleen (Glen) Gibbs, Thomas (Connie) Broome, Patricia (Mike) Hughes, Herbert (Dee Dee) Broome, and Tony Broome.

So sorry to hear the loss of James. I went to Palmyra school with James and his siblings. I can still see the spit balls that he and larry threw on the class room ceilings. Rest in peace and fly high.
