James William Jori, lovingly known as “Stump”, age 63, of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dale Perrigo and Mike Chitwood officiating.
Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. and again on Monday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
James entered this life on April 20, 1962 in Redding, California to the late Russell and Barbara Jori. He was a dedicated employee with Bi-County Waste for over 20 years. James enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his family. He was lovingly known as “Grump” to his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Lavern and Leo Brewer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Melinda Jori; sons, James William Jori II (Jessica), and Dylan Mitchell Jori (Jordan); grandchildren, James Robert, Carolyn Grace, Tucker Mitchell, and Addie Mae; brothers, Erik Jori and Freddy Gray; father-in-law, Mitchell Tucker (Becky); brothers and sisters- in-law, Doug and Bonnie Tucker, Tammy and Todd Trice. He also leaves behind his long time friends, Mike and Sheila Chitwood.
Pallbearers will be Mike Chitwood, Scotty Chitwood, Dale Perrigo, John Schneck, Ryan Tucker, Mike Whitwell, James Jori, and Trey Johnson.
Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN.
