Larry Chester Obituary
Larry Gene Chester, age 74, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Madewell officiating. Burial with US Navy Honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Larry entered this life on August 1, 1950, in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Roy Monroe Chester and Nellie Mae Sensing Chester. He was a 1969 graduate of Clarksville High School and a member of Cumberland Drive Baptist Church. Larry was a dedicated employee and retired from Trane after 38 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed playing pool, smoking a good cigar and listening to live blue grass music. Larry also dearly loved fishing with his son, Jeffrey. They fished many tournaments together. They were always very successful.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Vicky Mann Chester; son, Jeffrey Roy Chester; brother, Michael (Dianne) Chester.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Chester, Mike Chester, Roger Sensing, Wendell Burke, Joe Yarbrough, Rickey Rye, Mike Lee, and Robert Eley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Rice, Danny Black, Michael Rittenberry, Scotty Shepherd, and Danny Byard.
Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040.
