Lucille Kachevas Obituary

Lucille Martha Kachevas, 95, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is humbly serving Lucille's family. Born March 18, 1930, in Dubuque, IA, to Bart and Hilda Guler, Lucille spent her early years in the Dubuque area and worked for Walgreens. She loved music and could often be found dancing at the Melody Mill. In 1949, Lucille married the love of her life, Peter G. Kachevas. Her greatest joy, however, was her love for the Bible. In 1950, she dedicated her life to serving the God of the Bible as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She faithfully spent countless hours sharing her faith and Bible knowledge with others and remained steadfast in her ministry until the end. Lucille is survived by her three children: Judy (James) Schultz, Sandy (Jim) Carlson, and Gus (Angie) Kachevas; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Huber of Dubuque, IA, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Guler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bart and Hilda; her beloved husband, Peter; her son Danny Kachevas, Her sisters Bernice Beresford and Janette Freisinger; her brother Clarence Guler; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Huber, Wayne Freisinger and Donald Beresford. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Aveanna Hospice of Clarksville, TN, for their compassionate care and kindness toward Lucille.
