Margot Highfill Obituary
Margot Margarita Highfill, age 91, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Margot was born August 18, 1934 in Karlsruhe, Germany to the late Jakob and Paula Lieb Kilian.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Highfill, and brother, Herman Kilian.
Margot is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Diane Highfill, and her feline companion, T.C.
She was employed by the late State Farm Agent, Creson Briggs for 30 years. She was of Catholic faith.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any animal shelter.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

I met Margot many years ago through my mother Meta... they both worked for State Farm. I was invited to one of their lunch gatherings and we became fast friends thereafter.. sending birthday, Christmas, holiday cards , lunches(Margot eating only meat that didn´t fly or swim- which we giggled about). I loved her and her undeniable spunk, quick wit and unwavering love for animals, her daughter Linda- who she always bragged about , and her beloved husband James. I will hold her memory close to my heart always. I will miss our phone calls, and visits. A Special lady has left this earth, and is surely in heaven surrounded by all who love her still. Rest in Peace, Margot.

Sending our deepest condolences to her daughter, Linda. Margot will be missed. We live across the street and would often go check on Margot to make sure she was ok. One particular memory makes me smile. I walked over and knocked on the door. Margot answered and invited me in. We sat down and she was eating an ice cream. I pointed to her shirt and she looked down to see chocolate on her shirt. She looked up and smiled big as she grabbed it and ate it. We both laughed because she said it was good. Rest in peace Margot.
