Michael Douglas Underwood, age 66, of Cunningham, TN passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mike entered this life on July 12, 1958, in Houston County, TN to the late Douglas “Duck” Underwood and Myrtle Smithey Underwood. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a talented auto body mechanic. He found great joy in painting vehicles, riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR. His greatest joy of all came from his role of “Pappy” and spending time with his granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Gail Ussery and Pamela Underwood.
Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey Underwood; granddaughter, Kynlee Sauers; sisters, Donna Goodlett, and Sheila (Larry) Hogue; nieces and nephews, Victoria Earp, Michael Ussery, Britney Corona, Bethani Lyle, Isaac Hogue, and Justin Hogue. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews.
