Roger. Friend. Brother. As so many do nowadays as we get older, we get tangled up in the web of life. Tryin to find a perfect balance between work, our individual families, etc. we often find ourselves seein less & less of one another. Man, I wish we would've heeded the warnin when we were younger that time goes by too fast. With that bein said I will never miss an opportunity to let someone know that they are loved and/or thought about. You were one of my very first friends & the bond that not only we shared but our families shared as well; well we surpassed that friendship and became more like family. We had a lot of good times & I have so many great memories with you that I could type for days. It was an honor & a pleasure to have had you as a friend & as a brother. You may be gone physically but I know you're with us all spiritually. With your quick, humorous wit, don't give them too much crap up there. I can see the Good Lord shakin his head & chuckling. We love you brother. Rest easy.

Roger was in 1st grade when I started teaching at CHES. I had him everyday in Physical Education class for 6 years!. I grew to love Roger and his mom. I also taught Roger´s children and enjoyed him as a parent! My heart breaks for his family. Rogers was kind and funny. He was full of energy as a little boy and had no fears! The first week of school in first grade, Roger jumped off the high back steps of the gym and broke his foot! Mom was so understanding. She knew him well and assured me it would not be his last break. RIP my dear student and friend. And yes Roger, I still say you gave me all of my gray hair.
