Leon Roy began his earthly journey on Monday June 28, 1965 to the delight of his parents, Reverend W.B. Doug Kendrick and Oretha Trice Kendrick in Montgomery County, Tennessee. His daughter Jessica Kendrick and father preceded him in death.
He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at a young age and was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church – Port Royal.
Leon received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System where he attended Clarksville High School and was a graduate with the Class of 1984.
He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and cousin who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking for others (BBQ). All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.
On Friday, January 17, 2025, Leon’s earthly journey ended peacefully and he departed this life to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his mother, Oretha Kendrick, Adams, TN; daughter, Stephanie (Harry) Delair, Nashville, TN; one grandchild, Revelyn Rose; sisters: Bertha Coe, Indianapolis, IN and Jesse Perry, Clarksville, TN; brothers: John Kendrick and James Kendrick both of Indianapolis, IN; uncles: Albert Dennis and Silas Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
