Ruth Louise Bledsoe who was born on May 21, 1940, passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 85.
Ruth was a dedicated wife to Don Bledsoe, with whom she shared her life, love, and countless cherished memories. As a mother, she nurtured her children Eddy (Tonya) Bledsoe, Denise (Scott) Steverson, and Marsha (Michael) Burkhart, with an unwavering devotion to God and family that shaped their lives and instilled in them the Christian values of compassion and integrity according to Gods Word. She loved country gospel music and was a talented quilter.
Her legacy is carried on by her beloved grandchildren, who will forever hold her in their hearts: SSGT USAF Jared (Alanna) Steverson, Rachael (Kyle) Quillen, Colton (Katie) Plumey, Jordan (Emma) Johnson, Joshua (Hannah) Johnson, Autumn Webb, Jayson Bledsoe, Austin Nicholas, Benjamin Burkhart, Andrew Burkhart, Matthew Burkhart and Alexandria Burkhart. Ruth’s great-grandchildren, Noah, Delilah, Fletcher, Nolan, McKenleigh, Elliot, Elias, Dallas, and Silas and her sister, Janice (J.W) Pence of Covington, VA; will also carry forth her spirit of love, always remembering the warmth of her embrace and the joy she brought to their lives.
Preceding her in death are her loving parents Everett and Gertrude Sellers, her son Larry Don Bledsoe, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, Thursday, September 25 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Branscomb and Rev. Bryan Baggett officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Thursday, September 25, from 10am until the hour of service at the funeral home.
In celebrating her life, we remember Ruth as a beacon of compassion whose love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.

I have enjoyed the presence of both Ruth and Don on a few occasions and found them both to be Godly Christian people and generous to a fault. It feels good to know that she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rest in peace dear Ruth until He comes again.
