Sally Jean Rittenberry

Sally Jean Rittenberry, age 81, of Woodlawn, TN passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Rittenberry officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Sally entered this life on September 19, 1943 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Sam and Fannie Gill. Alongside her sister, Sally worked for a local dry-cleaning company. She formerly attended First Assembly Church of God. Sally enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers, as well as going to casinos.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Rittenberry; children, Judy Smith, Patsy Hilliker, Homer Rittenberry, and Jamie Rittenberry; siblings, Polly, Ray, Robert, and Pugh. She is also preceded in death by her beloved fur puppy, Benji.

Survivors include her son, Tim Rittenberry, and his fiancé, Janet; daughter, Betty Brown; grandchildren, Mandy, Jonathan, Hanna, Megan, and husband, Dalton, Tim and wife, Ashlee, Michelle (Omar), Terry, Ashley, Ami, and Keith(Shasta); great-grandchildren, Gatlin, Brooklynn, Aryanna, Hunter, Braxton, Treasure, Tristian, Trey, Kaylee, Haylee, and Cole. Sally also leaves behind her special friend, Dorothy "Granny".

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
