SSG Nathan Perez Obituary

SSG Nathan Perez, a beloved son, dedicated soldier, and adventurous spirit, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the young age of 26. Born on May 4, 1999, Nathan displayed an exuberance for life that touched everyone who knew him.

Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 9 am to 11am at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

Enlisted in the United States Army in 2017, Nathan served with honor as a Staff Sergeant in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, KY. He exemplified the values of duty, respect, and integrity, traits that will forever be remembered by those he served alongside. Beyond his military service, Nathan was a vibrant individual with a passion for adventure. He found joy in surfing, skateboarding, and riding motorcycles, with a love for the beach and nature that fueled his spirit. Fishing provided him not only a connection to the great outdoors but also a chance to escape and reflect. His love for travel allowed him to experience the beauty of new places.

He is survived by his daughter, Sophia Perez his parents, Michael and Wendy Perez, his siblings, Chalon Fulcher-Waller, Devin Waller and Alexander Mozinga.
