Jerry Redburn, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 77, in Clarksville, Tennessee, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home. Born on December 15, 1947, in Mattoon, Illinois, Jerry lived a life defined by dedication, service, and love for his family and country.
Jerry proudly served in the United States Army, dedicating 20 years to his country as a Staff Sergeant in the aviation division. His career was marked by commitment and excellence, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors alike. His time in the Army was not just a career but a calling, and he carried the values of duty and honor throughout his life.
In 1968, Jerry married the love of his life, Molly Redburn, embarking on a journey that would span 57 wonderful years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and strength, welcoming three daughters: Tracy Tudder (David), Cynthia Redburn, and Deanna Nichols (Frank, Jr.). Jerry's legacy continues through his nine grandchildren-Tosha, Amanda, Rachel, Nick, Sierra, William, Chandell, Shantell, and Frank III-and fourteen great-grandchildren-Scarlett, Jaxson, Hannah, Wyatt, Madilyn, Jeffrey, Kaiden, Isabella, Christopher, Trinity, Ashlee, Roman, Amaiya, and one more eagerly anticipated.
Jerry's life was a testament to the values he held dear: loyalty, family, and service. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, always offering guidance and support. His laughter and wisdom were constants in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Though Jerry has departed from this earthly life, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He will be inurned with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery, a fitting tribute for a man who served his country with distinction. The date for the service is yet to be determined.
