Teresa Higley Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Teresa Higley, who departed this life on April 18, 2025 at the age of 62. A devoted mother to her two children, Cheryl Coon and Sherry Haney, she was the heart and soul of our family. Her unwavering love, quiet strength, and boundless generosity touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She poured her love into her role as a grandmother, embracing her grandchildren: Georgia and Aiden Higley, Destiny Eldridge, Dalton and Devan Tanksley, and Chloe Haney along with six beautiful great grandchildren with the same tenderness and joy that defined her entire life. Whether it was through her warm smile, her comforting presence, or the stories she shared around the kitchen table, she created a sense of home and belonging that will live on in our hearts forever. She taught us the value of kindness, the importance of family, and the beauty of everyday moments. Her legacy is carried on in the lives of her children and grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory through the love she instilled in each of them. She is survived by her mother, Zina Sonnenfeld and two brothers, Jerry and Ricky Gilbert. A private family service will be held in her honor with details to come. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Please visit Teresa's tribute wall and share a memory with the family.
