Vincent Dee Plunkett, affectionately known as "Buddy," passed away peacefully in Clarksville, Tennessee, on January 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 23, 1961, in Clarksville, he dedicated well over 40 years to a successful career in car sales. The majority of his professional journey was spent at Gary Mathews Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep along with time spent at the Mathews Nissan store. His dedication and integrity for the local car sales industry earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Buddy had numerous interests and hobbies that enriched his life. He had an enduring admiration for classic cars and motorcycles, which complemented his extensive career in the automotive field. His love for the great outdoors was evident, as he cherished moments spent on the water, whether boating, enjoying the beach, or any other activity. Buddy found solace and joy in nature, embracing the beauty of the world around him.
Buddy is survived by his children, Carson Plunkett (Cameron) and Cassidee Eddings (Wyatt), who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts. His significant other, Alice Hayes, stands as a testament to the love and companionship they shared. He is also survived by his siblings: Kelly Plunkett (Stacy), Cindy Harrison (Wayne), Victor Plunkett, and Dean Plunkett (Sherry); and half-sisters Brenda Bremmer and Debbie O'Day. Buddy took great pride in being a grandfather to Calleigh, Wyatt III, and Addy Faye, and he cherished moments with his beloved fur babies, Bella and Cooper.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Lloyd Plunkett and Patsy Hollis Plunkett, as well as his siblings, Kevin Plunkett and Jacquie Leaser.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Celebration of Life will begin on Friday at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens following the services.
Bro. Gary Akins will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kelly Plunkett, Dean Plunkett, Victor Plunkett, Terry Yarbrough, Robbie Robinson, and David Mathews.
