Vivian Cox Coleman, age 89, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Kennedy, Dr. Ronny Raines, and Rev. Jerry Harwell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Vivian entered this life on December 19, 1935, in Danville, Indiana to the late Denman and Opal Smith. She was a dedicated member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she served as the church organist for over 50 years. Vivan dedicated her professional life to Ft. Campbell Civil service, where she was employed for 33 years and 7 months.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Coleman; son, Dale Cox, and her son in law, Mike Smith.
Survivors include her children, John Mark Cox (Gail), Virginia Cox Smith, and Carol Cox Champagne (Rick); son by marriage, Irvin Coleman; grandchildren, Misty Jenkins (Steven), Dustin Smith (Erica), Edward Abbitt (Aimee), Savannah Gahan, and Braxton Cox, and nine great-grandchildren. Vivian also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren by marriage.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Smith, Austin Abbitt, Braxton Cox, Brody Jenkins, Steven Jenkins, Rick Champagne, Edward Abbitt, and Richard Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 380 Dover Road, Clarksville, TN 37042.
