Joe Dodd, age 91, of Knobel, AR, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Regional One Health in Memphis, TN.
Born on March 2, 1935, in Mountain View, MO, Joe was a lifelong farmer who devoted many years to working the land. Beyond his dedication to farming, he enjoyed making clocks and rings, carpentry, and hunting. He also held a deep appreciation for photographs and the cherished memories they preserved. A faithful Christian, Joe was a member of New Life Family Church in Knobel, AR.
On March 5, 1953, Joe married Ida Melvina Dodd, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on September 28, 2018.
He is lovingly survived by his sons, Ralph E. Dodd, Joe R. Dodd, Michael W. (Leah) Dodd, and Jerry L. Dodd, all of Knobel; his brother, Tom (Inez) Dodd; sisters, Irene Smith, Edna (Glen) Booth, and Wilma Morgan; grandchildren, Brian, Amber, Scott, Christie, Blake, Kaitlin, James, Karen, Ashley, Megan, Tyler, Alex, and Rhett; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ida; his parents, Ethan and Vera (Frisk) Dodd; grandson, Daniel Wayne Dodd; granddaughter, Jeri Lynn Dodd; and great-grandson, Gage Dodd.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 12 p.m. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by Bro. Gary Holcomb and Bro. Roger Brand. Burial will take place afterward at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR.
