Myles Christopher Godfrey

Myles Christopher Godfrey, 4, of Hayesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Myles was a sweet boy with a heart full of love. Even at such a young age, he loved to help others. He took care of his brothers in many ways. Myles had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed helping his mom and dad cook breakfast and making coffee for his dad. He was an athlete and loved to foot race other kids. Myles was looking forward to playing t-ball, soccer and flag football in the near future. He loved helping his dad work on his jeep and truck. He attended Pre-K at Hayesville Elementary School.
He was the sunshine at the end of a long hard day for his dad and the best snuggler his mom could ask for.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kaeson Bentley Godfrey, who died Sept. 30, 2017.
He was the son of Kaci Jones and Mason Godfrey, of Hayesville.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Kyler Bentley Godfrey and Ryder Colt Hank Jones, both of the home; the maternal grandfather, Shannon Jones and wife, Kristina, of Hayesville; the maternal grandmother, Lillian Jones, of Murphy; the paternal grandparents, Shannon Godfrey and Chris Gibby, of Murphy; a special Nammaw, Sabrina Wilson, of Andrews; two aunts, Emily Jones and Emerson Gibby; a special aunt, Jennifer "Jenjen" Gabrielli; two uncles, Jacob Jones and Addison Jones; and a special uncle, Ben Gabrielli. He is also survived by several other cousins, step-aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Rumfelt officiating. The interment will be in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Blairsville, Ga. Pallbearers will be Shannon Jones, Chris Gibby, Tyler Godfrey, Ben Gabrielli, Gage Wiley and Gavin Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 3-4:45 p.m. Sunday at First Free Will Baptist Church prior to the services.
